Things change. Stuff happens. Life goes on.- Elizabeth Scott
It’s 2:30pm and I haven’t taken a lunch break yet so I figured I would do it right now and blog.
I weighed myself this morning and lost another pound. I am 1 pound away from my lowest weight since the 90′s. I feel like I keep “teasing” talking about how much I weigh but not saying the number but I just don’t feel ready…….still. Just know that I weigh less then I did last year haha.
This is what I ate today:
- Black tea
- Candy Cane
- Some skittles (I’m in the office again :/)
- One tiny bread roll
- Roast Beef and tomatoes (that sounds gross and it was)
As some of you know I am a Medical Social Worker and Director of Volunteers for a hospice organization. Today I recruited two more volunteers (9 total since I started this job in October ) one of which was for our Pet Therapy program. He is an 80-pound pitbull named Joey who is made of 100% baby kisses and sugar hugs. Here is a picture of him with my coworker during the volunteer interview
What’s even cooler is his owner told me that he would go on hikes with me and Tessa and teach Tessa how to get along with other dogs since he was a dog trainer and manager of a dog kennel so he is really experienced with large breeds.
It’s not that Tessa DOESN’T get along with other dogs but she is very shy and anxious and is kind of a freak. I am moving to Glendale where he told me there are MANY hikes that I can bring Tessa on and he would be more than happy to go with me. I am really excited about this new venture. Tessa and I will lose weight together and she will become more social. Your life is about to change, DOG!
Have I ever told you how much I love my coworkers? I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE THEM.
Anywho, so I’m sitting at my desk and my co-worker Liza calls me and says “Do you want to see the most disturbing thing…COME INTO MY OFFICE” So naturally I run into her office. She is watching a video of a Caterpillar turning itself into a chrysalis. I will admit that it wasn’t what I expected but it was still really disgusting. It felt disturbing to me and I am not sure why.
Then my coworker says do you have trypophobia? My response: I don’t know yet
She says “Watch this”
All it is, is a fear of holes. I could have come up with SO many jokes but I didn’t. I just laughed at her for being weird. I watched her watch that video and it was awesome. She was getting so freaked out and her arms were covered in chill bumps.
I walked out of her office thinking to myself “God, I love my job and coworkers.”
So great news!!! I move out tomorrow. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG YES.
More good news. My new place is going to be a few miles from the $2 movie theater that plays movies that were in the theaters last month. So basically, Lincoln, Breaking Dawn etc. etc. will be playing next month at this theater and I will just pay $2 instead of $11-$15 this month. SCORE.
That’s all I got for right now! I hope you are having a good day!
